Raw-Food-Apps-Featured

As a self-proclaimed tech geek, I’m not really sure why it took me so long to think about looking for Raw food apps for my iPad. Sitting on the couch on Sunday nights to relax has a way of recharging my brain, and last night, the thought of seeking raw food inspiration via an app [...]

In this age of globalization, another movement is gradually taking hold. More and more concerned citizens are buying local. When we buy our food from local, organic farmers, we reduce our carbon footprint greatly. In addition, we are helping to support local families and businesses. Buying organic means that we are not contributing to all the chemicals that pollute our water, soil, and bodies.

Breaking Free of Sugar

So, what’s the problem with sugar? Well, humans haven’t been consuming these quantities of refined sugars for very long, so the long-term effects are just beginning to occur to us. Raw Foods You Should Avoid Feeding Your Pets

Capo & Dora LOVE Carrots!

Many of us have pets that come a-running when we start prepping our meals, in the hopes of nabbing some scraps.  Though it’s technically not great dog etiquette to feed scraps to my dogs, I must admit…I’m guilty of sharing scraps with them a lot. For others, saving scraps for the purposes of use as [...]

Welcome to the new Raw Living Collective!  As we launch, this site is still very much under construction, but we were way too excited to hold off on building our community any longer than necessary. Kristel Hayes: The Raw Living Journey Begins

kristelhayes

Today begins my solo journey as a raw foodie. For the past six weeks, I’ve been guided by an amazing Raw Foods coach here in Portland, Maine, named Elizabeth Fraser (aka Girl Gone Raw), and having completed my final session with her yesterday, I feel awkwardly like that little bird who’s getting pushed out of [...]
